On the Road Again

By SPESA

Like a lot of our readers, the SPESA team has been mostly grounded for the last two years. And, while our kids and pets are happy to have us home, it isn’t always great for business. We have missed the personal connections that only come from meeting in person.

So, the SPESA team is hitting the road again. In March, Marie and Maggie will fly south to San Juan to scope out a good venue for the next SPESA Executive Conference. Michael and Marie will then turn around and head up to Washington, DC, for a few policy meetings and the AAFA Executive Summit. Finally, the whole team will travel to Atlanta to meet with our partners at Messe Frankfurt and do some final planning for Texprocess Americas 2022 before it comes to life in May.

We don’t want to jinx anything, and we know sometimes plans have to change, but we are ready to get back out there. We are betting on events again. And you should too.

Texprocess Americas is the largest sewn products and technology tradeshow in the Americas, bringing together international manufacturers and distributors of machinery, equipment, supply chain solutions, and other products and services for the development, sourcing, and production of sewn products. It creates an opportunity for retail, brand, and manufacturing executives to meet with suppliers and find the right tools and the right relationships to help their businesses thrive.

A few fun facts from the last show:

  • Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas had a combined 567 exhibitors representing 32 countries;

  • Total attendance was just over 8,000, leading to both shows being named among the world’s fastest growing trade shows;

  • 98% of attendees reported obtaining their objectives by attending: cultivating business relationships, expanding specialist knowledge, exploring innovations, and comparing and purchasing new products;

  • 93% of visitors had purchasing power for their companies, the majority of whom represented companies with purchasing power in excess of $3 million.

Getting back on track with trade shows in our new pandemic-centered world hasn’t been easy. The ups and downs and postponed calendars have driven us all a little crazy. But we are thrilled to see that interest in Texprocess Americas and the co-located Techtextil North America has not faltered. The exhibit halls for the 2022 editions of both shows are filling up quickly, and the educational aspects of the shows are coming back better than ever.

Early bird registration is available at a significantly discounted rate for both Texprocess Americas 2022 and Techtextil North America 2022 through Friday, February 18th. We hope you will take advantage of the opportunity (and the discount) to join us in Atlanta to get back to the show floor and back to business in person.
